Welcome to Kauri Canopy Cakes. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our online platform and the services we provide. By accessing or using our services, you agree to comply with and be bound by these terms. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our services.
1. Services Offered
Kauri Canopy Cakes specialises in custom-designed cakes for all occasions, artisanal pastries and desserts, gluten-free and vegan options, baking classes, catering services, and a coffee and tea bar. Our services are available both online and at our physical location.
2. Orders and Custom Cakes
- Custom Order Process: All custom cake orders require a consultation and a detailed agreement on design, flavours, size, and pricing.
- Cancellations: Cancellations for custom orders must be made with adequate notice. Specific cancellation policies will be outlined during the order confirmation process. Generally, a minimum of 72 hours' notice is required for a partial refund or store credit, depending on the stage of preparation.
- Changes to Orders: Any changes to custom orders must be requested as early as possible and are subject to approval and potential additional charges.
- Allergens: While we offer gluten-free and vegan options, our kitchen handles various allergens, including nuts, dairy, eggs, and gluten. We take all reasonable precautions to prevent cross-contamination, but we cannot guarantee that any item is completely free of allergens.
3. Baking Classes
- Booking and Payment: Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your spot in a baking class.
- Cancellations and Rescheduling: Class bookings are non-refundable. However, with a minimum of 7 days' notice, you may reschedule your class to another available date or transfer your booking to another person.
- Minimum Participants: Kauri Canopy Cakes reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a class if the minimum number of participants is not met. In such an event, participants will be offered a full refund or the option to transfer to another class.
4. Catering Services
- Quotes and Agreements: All catering services require a formal quote and agreement outlining the menu, pricing, delivery, and service details.
- Deposits and Final Payments: A non-refundable deposit is required to confirm catering bookings, with the final balance due prior to the event date, as specified in the agreement.
- Cancellation Policy: Catering cancellations are subject to specific terms outlined in your catering agreement, with penalties generally increasing closer to the event date.
5. Intellectual Property
All content on this online platform, including text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of Kauri Canopy Cakes or its content suppliers and is protected by international copyright laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any content without our express written permission.
6. Limitation of Liability
Kauri Canopy Cakes will not be liable for any damages of any kind arising from the use of our services or from any information, content, materials, products, or other services included on or otherwise made available to you through this online platform, including, but not limited to direct, indirect, incidental, punitive, and consequential damages, unless otherwise specified in writing.
7. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New Zealand, and you irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that location.
